There are a few sacred styles that I like to brew again and again. Although the detail of the recipe vary from time to time, the overall goal is to always have one or more (or all) of the following in the pipeline:
What can I say... I'm a hop head. I like to have a big IPA on tap all the time. In years past, it's been CHIPA or single malt/single hop IPA, but I've currently got a classic homebrew recipe (Sister Star of the Sun) on tap and it's quite delicious.
The porter style if my wife's favorite and my #2. OHP is my stand by, but another homebrew classic (St. Chuck's Porter) is currently filling the need... and doing a great job at quenching our porter thirsts.
For me, it is important to have a light, mild crowd pleaser on hand for those taking their first steps into the world of craft beer or for myself when a game of beerpong beckons or yardwork's left me with a mad thirst. My favorites for this slot are Baccachew Wheat, Sunnybrook Kolsch, Marty's Ultralight Ale and Sprout.
What do YOU keep on tap?
